ASSET DONATION PROGRAM

Throughout the year, Manitoba Lotteries may have an opportunity to relocate some of their gently used items to charitable organizations. These organizations can submit a wish list for needed items by filling out the application form. These applications forms are kept on file until such requested items may become available. Items are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Once a match has been identified, we will contact the organization and discuss the opportunity. Where the dollar value exceeds $5,000, the organization will be asked to provide testimonial for future Manitoba Lotteries use (eg. annual report, website).

CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION

The applicant organization must:

  • Have a Canada Revenue Agency registered charity number or non-profit designation.
  • Be based in the Province of Manitoba or have a Manitoba Division.
  • Raise funds that will primarily benefit Manitobans.
  • Maximize development/learning and community involvement opportunities.
  • Provide recognition to Manitoba Lotteries for support.

INELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Ineligible applications are those for:

  • Political parties, initiatives or candidates.
  • Organizations with a controversial mission.
  • Initiatives which are national or international in scope whereby Manitoba is not the host.
  • For-profit organizations.
  • Events and/or activities that primarily have youth and minors in attendance and/or are marketed to this demographic.
  • Individual or commercial pursuits (eg. trips, wedding socials).
  • Conferences, conventions, seminars or workshops.
  • Professional or technical associations.
