At Manitoba Lotteries, we are: driven by a collective desire to be a good corporate citizen; committed to improving the quality of life of the people and the communities we serve; dedicated to building strong business relationships and creating a positive impact on the Manitoba economy; supportive of our employees and their careers. We are also proud of our sustainable development practices and our leadership role in promoting responsible use of our products.
In October, 2008, our CSR Committee developed the groundwork for moving forward with an Authenticity-based Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.
Our first step was to start engaging our stakeholders in meaningful discussions to help us understand how well our values align with those of our communities.
Throughout January, February and March 2009, independent third parties met with some of our stakeholders to discuss how they felt about: Manitoba Lotteries’ involvement in the areas of responsible gaming; community support; sustainable development; employee initiatives and business relationships; as well as Manitoba Lotteries’ ongoing role in the community.

We will be expanding our consultations in the next year to include additional stakeholder groups.
